Safety Absolutes

LamSar has identified the following 10 Rules that are considered to be serious safety, environment, and integrity violations.

  1. Non Compliance with Fall Protection Standards
  2. Violation of Tag and Lockout Procedures
  3. Unauthorized Modification of Scaffolding
  4. Working without a Permit, i.e. safe work, hot work, confined space entry
  5. Failure to Follow Procedures Developed for identified Critical Activities
  6. Drug and Alcohol Policy Violation
  7. Smoking in Non Designated Areas
  8. Tampering with Emergency Response Equipment
  9. Operating Equipment without the Proper Authority or Qualifications
  10. Wilful Damage to Job Site or Equipment

Anyone observing these violations must correct the situation and report it to their immediate Supervisor. Supervision must forward any reported or observed violations involving the above to LamSar Management / Safety immediately.

Safety Policy

The policy of this company is to perform work in a safe and viable manner consistent with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects.

It is our belief that every employee in the construction industry should work in a safe and healthy environment. Every reasonable precaution within regulatory guidelines shall be taken to provide such an environment. We are dedicated to the objective of eliminating the risk of injury and illness, and committed to reducing the industry's tolerance for risk.

Our goal is to establish and maintain a definitive corporate safety policy in order to fully educate our employees and subcontractors in the proper implementation of LamSar's Best Practices, in order to protect every individual's health and safety.

Supervisors will be held accountable for the health and safety of workers under their supervision. Supervisors are responsible to ensure that machinery and equipment are safe, and that workers follow established safe work practices and procedures.

Compliance with this policy will be regularly reviewed at all employee levels and violations will be recorded. It is in the best interest of all parties to consider health and safety in every activity. Commitment to health and safety must form an essential part of this organization, from the president to the workers.
